Mobile Camera – My Camera of choice
Mobile phones are amazing… Cameras!
The mobile phone by itself is the greatest re-invention of the camera since Polaroid in my opinion. You have it with you and there is always a possibility to snap a shot, edit or share. Every third picture is captured with mobile phone and the quality is already better than many compact cameras. (Src)
I have a DSLR. It feels old and limited – even if the pictures turns out beautiful. The mobile camera is my camera of choice.

Update one, reach all – Facebook, Twitter and Google+
Before Google launched their Google+ I used Selective Tweets to have the ability to update only one line and get that update to both Twitter and Facebook. It is very simple, just connect twitter with selective tweets and add “#fb” to forward your tweet to Facebook.
This could be extended to Google+ as well.
Just follow some simple steps to connect Google+ with Twitter and Facebook selectively.
1) Connect your Twitter account with Google+ with http://www.manageflitter.com
2) Connect your Twitter account with Facebook with http://apps.facebook.com/selectivetwitter/?ref=ts
So, from now on Google+ is your main channel.
- Google+ to Twitter: If you want your Google+ status update to reach Twitter, simply add “#twt” at the end of the status update.
- Google+ to Facebook and Twitter: If you want your Google+ status update to reach Facebook and Twitter, simply add “#fb #twt” at the end of your status update.
Analogue Filters
Today i started to paint with whiteboard pens on my Macbook Pro’s webcam. The result was a pretty cool effect. Basically each whiteboard pen represent a colorization (change in whitebalance).
So I did a “rainbow effect” by combining several whiteboard-pen colors. What do you think about the result?
So if you have a couple of pens and some time over, do your own filter, capture and voila!
Visualizing Check-In Activity
Beautiful!
I’m a big fan of Gowalla, Foursquare and all the different check-in services. It’s a nice way to share your experiences with people that you know… and to socialize and share experience with people that you don’t know yet…
I found WeePlaces yesterday, a site specialized in visualizing checkins from the largest services. Now i can re-play all my checking activity on a world map and experience and search.
“what was the name of that cool coffee place in Manhattan?”
“when was I in Japan?”
I have embedded my Gowalla Statistics below, 800 checkins in 2 years time.

PhotoStream – Picplz embedded into my album
Hi,
Today i got some time to do a project – integrating picplz into my photo album. So now I have a “PhotoStream” showing my picplz activity, instant uploaded from my phone.
The PhotoAlbum is a bit more structured and consists of photos mostly captured with my DSLR.
Feel free to visit my photo stream, utilizing the picplz apis and thickbox fullscreen viewer for faster update and a more unified look and feel.

Social travelling, no more guidebooks
I’m not a fan of expensive guidebooks à la lonely planet. Its mostly waste of money for me since I don’t follow them anyway. In fact I’m not a fan of preparing my vacation at all…
Not that much for history. .. Not that much for stories.. . But all in for experiences… I want to see… I want to feel…
I’m currently in New York for a 8 days holiday with focus on shopping, tourism and chillaxing. I did no preparation whatsoever and am 100% busy from early morning to late evening. What I want to write about today is how I use the information on-line to keep myself busy and avoid to miss “must visits” without spending time to find them…
